Themyscira

As lovely as Aphrodite, as wise as Athena

With the speed of Mercury and strength of Hercules,

She used to want to save the world.

This beautiful place, but she knew so little then.

She saw it as the land of magic and wonder,

Cherished it in every way but,

The closer she got, she saw the darkness shimmering within.

At last, in a world torn by hatred and wars of men,

All the problems and feats of men were mere child’s play to her.

With her gauntlet and charming smile,

She walked through Themyscira.

I wondered, “Why’d you let him go?”

Diana smiled, “He said he could save today,

I could save the world. He saved both.”
