I sigh with relief and crawl into my bed

Sheets are freshly washed and i’m fresh

I feel relaxed with a fly buzzing around me

It’s a vacation finally

Warmth of the sun on my skin,

It’s like a hug from home

I read for the pleasure of it

Laughter everywhere, happiness blooming

Calming;

Like the thrilling sound of the sea.

Summer is here.

Like the smell of an old book,

Like the curving strokes of calligraphy,

Orange anywhere you look

Sound of the leaves crunching

As the rainboots step on them.

Pumpkin spice lattes and candles and cakes

Spending nights at library under candlelight

Distant sound of rain,

Autumn is not far.

Cozy sweaters and a hot drink,

Warmth of mug warms my hand.

Hoodies and fuzzy socks make me feel safe

Sitting by the bay window,

Curled up with a book.

Raindrops tap on my window.

Shuffle of my notes,

I look up to a blanket of snow.

The sound of cracking fire

And a sense of serenity.

Winter is coming.

My shyness blossoms into confidence,

Like a flower blooms distantly.

Studying at a park and

Sitting outside in a local cafe.

Surrounded by plants,

I watch the swingset slowly moving

By the soft wind.

Flowers and petals between my journals,

Spring is next to me.
